Hello all,
This is my first CNC design so I would appreciate any help in getting clarifications to a few items. I am referencing the Centroid Acorn schematics attached.
1. There is an output on the relay board (OUT1)….I understand what it is doing but I am wondering what function is mapped to that output. The others on the board are labeled (LUBE PUMP, INVERTER/SPIN, etc.).
2. Assuming I am using the Teknic power supply and their servos, do you guys recommend that power is cutoff if an estop is initiated? The example schematic does not show one being used.
Thanks in advance.

Re: New Control Cabinet Design Questions
Look at the Input/Output definition table at the bottom of the schematic. There are no outputs defined. What you are seeing is the representation of the ribbon cable that goes from the Acorn to the relay board.

Re: New Control Cabinet Design Questions
I don't think I was clear...
Obviously the output has to be assigned in the Acorn Wizard to this location. What my guess is that this is "ESTOPOK" thus when the relay is energized allows the CNT1 contactor to supply power to a myriad of devices in the cabinet.
Knowing the definition of this command as far a the Centroid software is concerned would help in my design choices. It would be nice to know what the Acorn software's decision making process on these defined output.
Thanks

Re: New Control Cabinet Design Questions
Sorry, maybe the output was intended to be mapped to "NoFaultOut" instead.
