CNC12 4.6 Lathe Can't Clear EStop Detected (Resolved)

Post by GBCues »

Hi All,
I have a spare Acorn board that I like to use to test new software releases and different configurations. I have installed 4.6 Mill and 4.6 Router successfully, but I cannot get 4.6 Lathe to install without a persistent "Emergency Stop Detected". This was not a problem with Mill nor with Router. Nothing has changed in the configuration. Just to be clear, I know I must rename the cncm or cnct directories between installations.
I am using 4 DM556 drivers and a Version 3 Acorn board. I load "Leadshine DM Series" boards in the Wizard and match all the settings from one config to the other.
A Report.zip is attached.
Can you see any problem?
Thanks very much,
Gary

look in the error log to see what is causing the estop condition.

also make sure you don't have the input inverted in the Alt i screen

Well, it turns out a wire from my EStop to Common came loose that I couldn't see - why is it always the simple stuff??

That's where the DIAGNOSTIC Screen (Alt i) is worth its weight in gold....for testing and observing inputs and outputs and toggling them if needed.
Glad you figured it out.
