Limit switches

Post by LenelyWolf »

Hi again
Can anyone suggest some reliable limit switches with good repeatability which will work with acorn board.i was thinking to use some inductive sensors. Do u know which one will work with acorn?

Take the time to use the Search box in the upper right corner. Search limit switches.
Proximity sensors, NPN NC work well. Automationdirect.com is my favorite source.

Thanks... I didn’t think of searching the question... just one last question. Do u know what voltage is used?

says they are in stock, must be your shipping address it is complaining about.
try a different shipping address, has to be a UPS address not a po box.

That limit switch is unavailable but I managed to find it somewhere else... thank you. Do you know how accurate in repeatability that sensor is?

I’ve seen that video already.. thanks 😉 I don’t think that he was talking about repeatability accuracy of that limit switch..

Acorn Inputs stand at +24VDC, buy prox sensors that work within that range, NPN Normally Closed.
The sensor must SINK the Acorn input to trigger it. (Do not buy PNP)

Ebay sells Omron knock offs that seem to work. I have used them. Similar to what Keith is suggesting.
5Pcs TLQ5MC2 Inductive Proximity Switch Sensor NPN Normal Close DC 10~30V US    https://ebay.us/51AgXD
Though I have never put them in series....
