Is 4.6+ version more stable? I wanted to restore from report if possible.
nope as far as I know, both are running perfect reliable, but 4.8 have some nice new features.
For installation, make screenshots from your current wizard settings and start with a fresh installation.

you can copy the old tool library from the old cncm/t directory to the new one. is this a mill or lathe you are working on?
cncm.ol
cncm.tl
are the two mill files you need to copy from the old cncm to the new cncm

i wouldn't restore from a report with really old software.. best to re do the Wizard, i just takes 5 minutes.
then you can copy over any tool library files or custom macros etc..afterwards.

My VPN is not displaying properly and I'm getting no feedback from this weird horizontal display that pops up when I use my custom jog handle (alt-j).
Put in all my settings and my Z-Axis is inverted. Endstop not working, overrode limit...
Yikes. I also don't have access to internet on this machine. Everything is USB transported.

No, never had internet on this computer. I'm pretty far from my router.
Everytime I open CNC12 that window pops and no VCP. Can only jog from Pendant. Fixed direction of Z axis, but at the moment, nothing else works without my VCP.

looks like you need to update windows so you have the latest windows software so the VCP can run. the report.zip will let me know what version of windows is being used.
