Re: Yaskawa V1000 with 5HP HSD spindle
If someone provides a good drawing, and parameter settings, perhaps we can ask Centroid to do a basic Schematic and include it with future Schematic sets.

Re: Yaskawa V1000 with 5HP HSD spindle
Thank you Keith for the schematic for the Yaskawa V1000 VFD.
While I have the VFD hooked up correctly, (and double checked), reviewed the programming posted earlier and modified my parms. to match. I am still unable to get the spindle to run thru the Acorn. It will start and run thru the Yaskawa programming software with their cable.
I did have this working with LinuxCNC before converting to the Acorn. My next plan is to reset the VFD back to the defaults then try reporgramming again.
Any additional suggestions are welcome.
Jeff

Hi,
Did you try and run it manually? Did you check the man key? It's usually lit for auto.

Re: Yaskawa V1000 with 5HP HSD spindle
Good Evening Petkocabmill,
I can run the VFD manually (local mode) . I'm getting ready to do A complete reset on it.

Hi Jeff,
Do you know how to switch in remote mode from the VFD and if you do know, do you know how to turn the spindle manually from cnc12 software?

Re: Yaskawa V1000 with 5HP HSD spindle
I do. I see the RPM / Frequency display on the VFD change according to what I set in cnc12 software. I also have the outputs switched on to verify with my meter. Output 4 for FWD, Output 5 REV. I also verified manual operation before switching back to "Remote".
I also have a jumper on HC & H1

I have 2 of these in my machines. I can check my settings and connections if you are still stuck.

Re: Yaskawa V1000 with 5HP HSD spindle
Muzzer,
Having the basic parameter settings, jumper settings, verifying the wiring diagram that Centroid created would go a LONG way to helping others using the V1000 drive.
Once it's documented it will go into the schematic set.
Thank you!
Marty

CENTROID M400 WITH YASKAWA V1000 INVERTER
These parameters represent the setting that are different from the factory presets.
Setting parameter A1-03 to a value of 2220 will return
drive to factory default settings. Set back to a value
of 0 before entering new parameter values. If this does
not work, check parameter 02-03.
