Clearpath Inline resistor wiring.

Greetings.
I have a simple question with regards to putting a resistor with 24 volt power inline to clear paths step and direction input.
Please see attached image, I believe that these 2 schematics (I use the term schematics loosely) accomplish the same thing- only in Option "A" I have 24+ going to a 100K (its a long cable run) resistor and directly into the step and direction inputs to the acorn board. Option B however has the + 24 volt and 100K running inline to the clearpath. On paper it looks exactly the same but wanted to double check my foggy morning thinking.

Cheers!

I started a new thread for clarity as the other one was slightly different topic. This was is more focused. Per Clearpath for long cable runs it is beneficial to run a +24 volt line with 100K resistor (this was mentioned on a phone call with Tecknic as instructions state 10K) inline with the step and direction outputs from Acron to the Clearpath Servos.

It's called a pull-up resistor and can happen anywhere along the step and direction wires. I would choose whichever end (driver or Acorn) that had +24V in a convenient location.

Thank you Tom. I was just a little nervous running 24volt with a resistor into the board where the step and direction terminals are. Sound like it should not cause any issues.

The resistor schematic is shown in the ClearPath manual. Make sure that you follow that, even if there have been changes to the recommended resistor value
