Hi Guys
I'm using my Acorn to power a simple three axis router.
I bench tested my Acorn when I got it with three very cheap Chinese steppers without any problems.

I'm now using three Clearpath SDHP motors.
They tuned nicely and I can run them back and forth using Clearpath MSP.
Everything is wired as per the S14972 schematic

Currently all three are showing fast flicker green indicating awaiting command signal.
All three HLFB signal inputs to the relay board are green as is the DriveOK signal daisy-chained through the relay board.

What do I have set wrong to not get any motion when jogging?

Are the shafts on the ClearPath motors locked? The enable signal should lock the shafts. You wrote that you have green LEDs, so the shafts should be locked. Tell us about how you've wired the motors.

Page 171 of the ClearPath user's manual shows that wires, Black, White, and Blue should be connected to +24VDC. The Red wire should be connected to GND. The Green wire is connected to the Acorn DriveOK input. The Brown wire is connected to the Acorn's DIRECTION signal. The Yellow wire is connected to the Acorn's STEP signal. The Orange wire is connected to the Acorn's Enable signal. Pages 151-155 in the ClearPath user's manual describe how the SDSK motors are configured and what each signal does.

update to v4.5, free support for v4.18 has ended.

Software dutifully updated.

Same problem exists.
Something must be set wrong.

Someone needs to do a video on how to successfully connect and configure Clearpath SDSK motors to Acorn.....

clearpaths are probably not set to the correct mode.

Keith's post reminded me that I can easily show what I've done. I don't have the necessary equipment to make a decent video, and if I didn't use some other actor, you'd all be bored stiff watching me mumble my way through a video; so, here's screen shot of the basic MSP screen with one of my CPM-SDSK-3421P-RLN servos connected via the micro-USB cable:
I Tried to take screen shots of other settings, but the Snip program caused the window to lose focus on the items from the pull-down menus, so I've described the other settings below.

Mode/Step and Direction
Setup/Counts;RPM;RPM/s
Advanced/High-Level Feedback [All Systems Go (ASG])- Position]

Everything setting is factory default except Input Resolution, which I changed to 6400 Pulses per Revolution per Centroidcnc recommendations and ASG, so that a motor normally only faults if it is at least 1/4 revolution out of sequence. The only mode for the SDSK motors is Step and Direction. I think everything else is the same. As far as I understand, the Vel. (RPM) and Accel. (RPM/s) settings are only used when the servo is controlled by the USB cable. Under Setup, I normally have the scope on so that I can watch various waveforms while the motor is running. The scope makes it easy to verify that the motor is suitable for the job.

Pages 151-156 of the Clearpath Users Manual give the information that you'll need.

I've connected my motors to C86ACCP boards, so I only need to plug factory connectors directly into the Acorn.

Page 171 of the Clearpath Users Manual shows the wire colors. If connecting the Teknic data cables directly to the motor, you connect the Black,Blue, and White wires to +24VDC. Connect the Yellow wire to Step, the Brown wire to Direction, and the Orange wire to Enable. Connect the Red wire to GND. Connect the Green wire to the Acorn's DriveOK input.

Use a power supply that outputs DC voltage of at least 24V, but not more than 75V. I normally use the Teknic IPC5 power supplies.

When I first got some ClearPath motors, I made my own cables. They worked, but because I don't have the "official" crimper, I had to use multiple other crimpers. When I compared the time that it took me to make a cable with the cost of Teknic's cables, it was clear that their cables were better and less expensive.

Here is my MSP Setup; My only setup difference from you is I have my HLFB set to Servo On.
This is so I can use it as a drive OK signal to the relay board as per Acorn's A14972 schematic.

I can't find anything in the configuration of the motors I have wrong.
