Hi - Yes, I realise that - the intention was not to whine and whinge! - Sorry if it appears that way! I am new to this forum and not sure how it works - sort of used to asking detailed product questions from the designer/manufacturer on the manufacturer website. I felt like I was asking general public users these detailed questions and the question sort of rolls of the page with all the other users questions, and gets lost..Hence my question asking how do I ask Centroid, the manufacturer, directly - which if I was told how, I would have left till after the holidays!

Thanks for the reference - I did come across that in my previous days of searching this forum, but did not really look to deeply because I understood he has two mechanical spindle drives - A VFD driven 1KW spindle motor AND a stepper motor for positional control. That is what I am trying to circumvent - If the Acorn can output two different pulse modes , one for speed control, one for rotary axis.

I think people are getting hung up on the stepper/spindle motor thing -
The motor I have indicated is not a simple stepper motor - regardless as to what the Acorn thinks it is - It is a high speed ( steppers are NOT) brushless servo motor and happens to be driven by step and direction pulse and can step accurately in small steps.

Currently CNC 12 can not do what you are asking. On the list of things to do....

Marty , Thanks for the answer! Not really what I wanted to hear, but at least I know not to pursue the Acorn route.
Thank You.

Marty, if I may, one more question...
On the Centroid website is reference to a C axis lathe - an ATRUMP machine, indicating Centroid's implementation of a Servo driven spindle/C axis setup.

However, the article is a little short on detail - What controller/CNC hardware and software is used and where on the website can I get more info on that? ( Tech info, prices, etc) It may just be the way to go, and not faff about with bits and pieces!
Thank You.

Provide a link to the information you found about Atrump and a C axis.

That is a lathe that Centroid and Atrump collaborated on. Atrump is the vendor.
Many Atrump machines come with Centroid controls. I think they are using Centroid Oak now.
You would have to reach out to Atrump to see if they still offer that machine with C axis or one similar.
You could "ASK" to see if they have an owner's parts manual....

I'm confused, page 192 of the CNC12 manual indicates that the M51 command to enable C-Axis is a feature.
