Hello all,
This might be a dumb question, but I can not set the probing clearance height when probing a boss or any other feature. I can set the width, but not the height. can someone enlighten me as to what I am doing wrong? I can not select the box to change the value even though the onscreen instructions say you can do so.

edit: on my system the "default" value appears to be 0.500 "

You can't click the field with the mouse or move to it with the Tab key. The only way that seems to work is using the keyboard Arrow Down key to get to the next field.

If you want to get more flexible and convenient probing routines, get the ProbeApp

I am going to second swissi's advice. The probe app works well and makes things easy.
