Did you buy this Tool Setter? Thinking about adding support for such type of probes to the ProbeApp.slodat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 7:05 pm Like the subject says, wondering if anyone has tried the Drewtronics TS1000 tool setter?

Please keep us posted how well this device performs. They claim repeatability of 5 micrometer. That means you could measure tool diameters with an accuracy of 0.01mm (0.0004").
I guess you could just use the body of a regular touch probe and make a holder that holds the body horizontally. Then replace the regular styli with this platform styli.

Hey did you get this setup? I'm working on setting my drewtronics tool touch up but can't get it to register. Any insight on how you hooked yours up would be awesome!slodat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 7:00 pmI did. I haven’t installed it yet. I'm interested in knowing more about the ability to measure the tool diameter, and how that would work with Acorn.
