I recently picked up a Hardinge AHC that's been fitted with an Accuslide. The parameters were lost when the batteries died, the spindle encoder is bad and the VFD is DOA. Good candidate for a retrofit .
These pictures are at the shop where I got it. My quarters are too cramped to get a good full on shot. Some parts have already showed up so hopefully progress will be quick.

Re: Hardinge AHC Accuslide Acorn Conversion
Thanks guys, good to know I'm not alone with this project
I plan to list the unused items. A few bucks never hurts.
Got the acorn up and ran through the initial setup. Also the motors/drives and did the initial tune on them also.

Re: Hardinge AHC Accuslide Acorn Conversion
I got the computer mount moved back to give me a little more room to move.
Box cleaned out.
New face plate made and mounted. There will be another over this one for the monitor. I plan to mount the drives to the back of this plate.

Re: Hardinge AHC Accuslide Acorn Conversion
Thanks
A little more progress.
Drives mounted
Monitor mounted to faceplate and then mounted to the box
Made a small bracket to hold the NUK and USB ports - trying not to penetrate the outer shell if I can avoid it.

Consider a USB bulkhead connector for your cabinet so you have external access to the USB ports.
