Tool Length Sensor

Hello,
I have a tool length sensor that was given to me but being a novice at this I have no idea what wires should be connected to where from the sensor to Acorn.
I have made a donation to Swissi and plan on using his app.
I have attached a diagram that was in the box but confused more than I understand.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would be nice if you post a picture of it.
That document seems to indicate it is a NORMALLY CLOSED sensor. You need to set it up as such.

You need to connect one wire to Acorn Power Supply COM and the other to an unused INPUT and program it

I can't read Chinese but it looks like this device has two Normally Closed switches with two wires each. One switch is for the actual Tool Setter and the other is a safety switch that opens when the Tool Setter is pushed too far down in a case when the first switch does not stop the motion.

Use an Ohm Meter and check which wire pair belongs together. If you find a pair that's looped trough, just slightly press the tool setter and if the switch opens, this pair is the Tool Setter pair. If the switch opens when you press the tool setter all the way down, this is the safety switch pair.

Connect the safety switch pair either as an external Feed Hold switch or daisy chain it into your Emergency switch wiring.

Wire the Tool Setter pair as NC type TT as Marty described.

Exactly what Swissi said here. Keep in mind that you do not need to hook up the over travel safely for it to work properly.

Also note that a NC type probe must have a Detect Input if you want to make it pluggable but if you wire it permanently, no detect input is needed.

I was planning on using an aviation connector but leaving it connected. Isolated the two wires and have them installed on Com and input 7. I used the wizard to configure the probe and input. Use the diagnostic menu to determine the TT type. Installed ProbeApp. Should one of the other two wires go to Input6?

I was using the term "Probe" in the sense of being the category that comprises all probing devices like Touch Probes, Tool Setters, Tool Touch Off plate, Triple Corner Finder plates etc. in the same way the CNC12 Wizard categorizes all the Input definitions like ProbeTripped, ToolTouchOffTriggered etc. under "Probe". What I said about the requirements for NC type probes is true for all these devices.

You can connect one wire to Input 6 and the other to COM. Configure Input 6 as FeedHold2 and set it to type NO (Red).
