Drive Fault

hi All
I have a G0704 mill running Dmm 750 watt servos for XYZ and a Dmm 1.0 servo as a spindle motor.
my controller is 220 volts running acorn 4.18
I have limit switches for all axis. My procedure when i power up the controller it to then open cnc12, press reset which pulls in the relay, you can here it click, then i press cycle start to send the machine home to hit the limit switches and set machine Zero.
My controller and machine has been working perfectly the last 4 months or so.
today I tried to drill a hole in aluminum with a .812 diameter drill, which i never done before. I drilled 20 holes .400 deep, everything good. then as the drill started to drill hole #21 , i got a spindle fault and the machine just stopped running.
I powered down cnc12 as well as the controller box and rebooted everything. all the leds on the drives were lit upon the restart.
I again followed my standard start up procedure, I pressed reset on cnc12 screen the relay kicked in, but when i pressed cycle start to send machine home, there was no motor movement, then within a few seconds the relay dropped out and the onscreen message showed a drive fault.
i opened controller and the Z axis drive was flashing in alarm state.
I also noted that, at wire connector group H1 IN3 terminal led lite was flashing
does anybody have any suggestions?
im thinking of removing the Z axis motor and replacing it with a spare one that i have just to try and narrow down my issue's
attached is the latest report
