There are a ton of resend errors in the log files. My guess is noise is disrupting the communication between the PC and Acorn. Make sure you are using a shielded Ethernet csble and route it away from the axis control and power cables.

I w able to finally get a scan that produced some usable data, only had 40 or 50 unscheduled stops, but I got the full surface. I am now wondering if it is possible to have the data stored as a csv file. The data was expressed as if it was a gcode file where the repeated unchanged data are not expressed. For a point cloud it is necessary to express all the coordinates. Fortunately I was able to edit the file with Notepad++ and add the missing coordinates and put in the required commas a delimiters to make it work to create the point cloud in Master Cam, as an ascii file load.

I did make one change in the settings which seemed to help it stall less, I increased the lift on the z axis. prior to that, it would crash and have to be restarted.

Dig to CAD (F9 Digitiz/F6 Dig to CAD) will strip out the G-code portions of the dig file leaving a point file text cloud. It's all explained in the mill user's manual.
