Have you done a retrofit before? Do you have the basic electrical/electronic skills to complete the conversion?

That I dont know as yet. Not covered a conversion as yet but have covered a lot of the control systems over the years. I work with engine control, covering actuator control, pid control etc etc.

Those drives do not have step /dir as input. They use velocity or torque mode. I saw no mention of step/dir. Acorn has +-10v analog speed control?

He cannot use the drives. Acorn only has 0 to +10VDC analog spindle output control. At first glance it *appears* his spindle drive will work. He can test it before going much further.
