Today tried new computer to attempt upgrade to 4.5
Heartbeat was present but lost during last portion of set up.
Communication error. Tried multiple times with 2 different BBG boards and 3 Ethernet cables. Don’t know what to do next...
Up on computer set to 10.168.41.1
Ping works to this address
Failed PING at 10.168.41.2
I’m thinking the Acorn board may be bad. Getting intermittent Heartbeat but lose It before I can update software.
I'm have been making some progress over the weekend. Corrected address for ethernet and now getting PING in BOTH directions -- see screen shot.
Now getting HEARTBEAT each time I start machine. I tried to update to version 4.5 when Heartbeat was present. As software was loading, the Heartbeat went to SOLID light. Also message to ABORT came on screen -- see screen shot.
No matter what I do, the Heartbeat disappears a few minutes after getting into the CNC12 program. CAPTURE 2 screen shot shows PING after losing Heartbeat. I'm not able to move router with Virtual Control Panel. I made REPORT and attached it here.
I need to use a different computer to send machine pictures tomorrow.
I think it best for you to load TeamViewer (www.teamviewer.com) Call and pay for Centroid support. Make sure you have internet access to that computer. Did you try another computer?
Where are you located?

We have not had access to computer yet. Would most powerful laptops work okay just to verify operation? I would plan to buy a new system if necessary. Hope to try by the end of the week. I don’t understand how we keep losing the Heartbeat.
The error opening file for writing usually occurs when trying to update the program while it is already running. Make sure CNC12 and the VCP are both terminated before running the installer. The best thing us to reboot then start the installer.
Cheers,
Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
