Acorn Price increase announcement.

Post by cnckeith »

Hello.

These items are scheduled for a price increase.
This is a courtesy announcement for the Acorn DIY CNC community so that anyone that has been on the fence for one of these products may have time to make a purchase at the current pricing.

- WMPG-4 increase of $35
- KP-3 increase of $100
- Mill and Lathe Pro License increase of $20

New pricing is going to take effect Sunday October 4th.

Please note:
- WMPG-4 introductory pricing is now ending. Significant MPG Firmware and CNC PC side software development by Centroid has made this the best Wireless MPG on the market.
- KP-3 was announced and launched with introductory pricing, that intro pricing is now ending.
- Mill and Lathe Pro has not seen a price increase in 3 years while significant man hours have gone into development of features and ease of use for the DIY community.

The increases seem fair and reasonable to me.

I don't remember seeing a price increase on this item...

I guess the checkout price is real - website needs updating.

Pendant differences/updates? (WAS: Re: Acorn Price increase announcement.)

Post by EricMack »

@Keith,

You indicate that the pendant price is going up, do to the significant improvements and firmware improvements. Sounds good.

I just purchased a WMPG-4; I already own the CWP-4.

My questions:
1. What are the differences between these models? (Hardware and firmware, please)
2. Are there firmware updates for either unit? If so, where do I look for these, or is that automatic on power-up from the host controller?

Thank you to you and your team, please keep up the great work.

thanks, when you update to a new version of CNC12 new software for the MPG is installed at the same time, so no need to stress about drivers or firmware updates etc..

Thanks, Keith. That's good to know and helpful that you embed the firmware updates into the main software. Excellent!

Is there any other difference between the two model designations?
