I need enclosure suggestions

Post by J_Foreman »

I have my acorn kit and my g540 will be here Monday. I need an enclosure so I’m asking for pics, links, names or anything else that can be provided. I’m converting a Taig CNC mill from an old parallel port controller running mach3.
Thanks in advance.

Lay out your components on a bench to get an idea of width, height, depth. then look for a box. They are all over the place. Even Amazon has electrical electronic boxes. Factorymation.com has them, Zoro.com etc.....

Zoro.com is my primary source for enclosures. I buy them without knockouts, if I buy with a door, I gasket the door myself. If I use the ones with a cover, I also gasket the door. If I am doing a large commercial control, I will by the pre-gasketed door.

Zoro generally charges only $5 for shipping

Once you've selected an enclosure, here are some tips from Gary Campbell for wiring things up.
