My Virtual Log Panel for movement of my X axis is locked and will not function.
My Remote MPG works fine and I can move it.
I have not been able to figure why it does this.
I have reset , checked the configs, shut down and restarted the software to no avail.
Thoughts, Ideas?

If your MPG is turned on, you can't use the VCP jog panel. Its one or the other. Turn off the MPG and retest

What you are saying Marty is only true if there's a ProbeTripped condition. The VCP jog buttons only work in the direction to jog away from the trip until ProbeTripped is cleared. The MPG will let you jog in 1x speed in all directions.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 10:41 am If your MPG is turned on, you can't use the VCP jog panel. Its one or the other. Under normal conditions, both the MPG and VCP jog buttons will work simultaneously.

No, the axis buttons will, but you can not change X1, X10 or X100 when the MPG is turned on. You can use the VCP axis buttons, but only move in the increment set on the MPG. You can not switch to incremental mode on VCP with the wireless MPG turned on either.swissi wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 5:47 pmWhat you are saying Marty is only true if there's a ProbeTripped condition. Once you turn off the wireless MPG, then you can use the VCP in incremental mode and change the rate. As soon as you turn on the MPG, it takes control of those features (when MPG button virtual LED is on, on the VCP)
Maybe I wasn't clear on my previous post.

Re: Virtual Log Pane for X axis locked and MPG functions for X
I did all that before I posted my question for some reason the software locked up on the Virtual Panel for the X axis.
Only the MPG would move the X. It took control and would not relinquish it back to the keyboard.
I did the only thing I could think of and spent about an hour reloading the software. Problem solved.
Thanks, for the suggestions.

DID you turn off the MPG? Turn the knob to OFF or power it OFF? At that point the Virtual LED on the MPG button on VCP should turn off and relinquish control back to VCP.JerryLouisMartin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 9:44 am I did all that before I posted my question for some reason the software locked up on the Virtual Panel for the X axis.

Jerry, you also need to learn to always LOAD a FRESH Report each time you ask for help. Some of us can read the report to see how you configured your machine and I will sometimes load your report on my test rig to see if I can replicate user problems.
F7 Utilities, F7 Create Report.

I will do that next time, load the report.
I tried it per your feedback and it would not give control back to the panel so I reloaded the software.

Well, hopefully you did not reload right on top of what you had, you did a FRESH (From scratch install)JerryLouisMartin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 11:08 am I will do that next time, load the report.

AND when you post a report, some of us can load it on our test machines and check your particular problem, see if everything is configured correctly, so as to try and help you not dig a deeper hole.
While you are definitely learning, you are finding the value in someone that knows the control and how to set it up.
