Mike...
Spin up a VFD controlled spindle using Acorn's 0-10v analog as the freq reference. You may see the need for the resistors then

What is the voltage the C86ACCP gives to the drivers 24V or 5V?

I made a post in our website explaining the basic process for setting this up:
https://www.cnc4pc.com/blog/post/configuration-c86accp
Note that I intentionally left out of those instructions covering some features that can be considered as Advanced and do create confusion. These are:
- Cable disconnect detection.
- Using the NO_FAULT signal from CNC12 to enable the C86.
- SOFT/HARD Servo Enable.
I also updated the REPORT.ZIP file to the current CNC12 version.
Mike, thanks for your comments. I wish I have been faster.

Arturo,
The post on your website is excellent. It should be easy for anyone who uses the C86ACCP to connect it to an Acorn and get it running in a matter of minutes.

So just curious if anyone has actually been able to get the Y-slave axis to work with the new settings configuration posted?

I tested two ClearPath SDSK-3421P-RLN motors this morning, one as the X-axis motor and one and the X-axis slave. I moved all four slave jumpers to the X-axis slave (positions 2-3) on the back of the C86ACCP board and then plugged the slave motor's cable into the C86ACCP's slave socket.

There seems to be a problem. BOTH the slave motor and the master motor turn the same direction. My only experience with a slave motor is on my Shopbot PRT-Alpha router. The gantry required two motors, one on each each of the gantry. One motor turned clockwise and the other motor turned counter-clockwise. On the C86ACCP board, both motors turn the same direction. That means that the gantry would twist into a pretzel if they were used on that old Shopbot. The Shopbot used a rack and pinion drive system. Each motor turned a pinion gear that moved the motor along its axis. On the Shopbot, the racks, pinions, motors and mounts were mirror image of each other. With a stepper motor that has four wires (two coils), reversing the direction of a motor is as simple as swapping any two wires on one of the two coils. For instance, the A-coil used Black and Yellow wires on my test bench machine. On the master motor A+ was Black and A- was yellow. On the slave motor, A+ was Yellow and A- was black. That enabled the motors to be mirror images of each other.

I'll contact Arturo and see if my understanding of a slave axis differs from his.

In the Teknic MSP Software you can change the direction of the motor to reverse.

I'm glad you were able to get yours to work. Did you have to change any of the other jumpers to get this to work, or just the slave jumpers?
