Hey folks,
I'm trying to hook up a 110v mac 35a aaa daa 1ba solenoid valve to the acorn relay board to control my fogbuster.
Looking at the schematics it shows that I need to hook a "snubber" between hot and common, What kind of a snubber do I need? I see posts advising a Quencharc, but what type?
Also my valve is 110v ac, but doesn't have a 3rd wire for ground, don't I need a ground?
Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: solenoid valve for fogbuster question
Now I know what quencharcs to get, from the document linked above.
I can see the schematics on the document.
Everywhere I look, I see the solenoid having a ground going back to 110vac ground.
My Mac 35a solenoid has only two wires, how do I ground it? the wiring for a sump pump makes sense to me, but not this.
I'm sorry for being dumb, but I'm new to this. Please hold my hand on this one, I can't find a safe answer and I don't like to fuck with 110v and I don't want to "experiment"

Re: solenoid valve for fogbuster question
You don't need a ground for "double insulated" devices. The coil on that solenoid is probably encapsulated in resin as well as being enclosed in a non-conductive housing.
