The proper procedure for benchtest
Connect Acorn to its power supply
Connect Ethernet cable from Acorn to DEDICATED PORT ON THE PC (no router, no switch)
Power up Acorn, make sure heartbeat is flashing
Install CNC12 with Acorn powered up.
CNC12 installation should have asked you if you wanted to configure an Ethernet port to which you should have seletect the PHYSICAL ethernet port Acorn is connected to and said YES. It should have responded that it configured the port and finished the installation.

Well, I have very good news. I decided to disassemble the Acorn board to check if maybe I damaged it by the screws that I fastened it to the PVC mounting board that is cut to mount into the Bridgeport Series 1 CNC Cabinet. Much to my suprise the small ethernet board that is pushed onto the pins of the Acorn board 2 of the pins were bent over which had to cause the fault code
on the CNC12 program, I straightened the pins put it back to see if it loads. So I am very happy that it loads and I can set it up.
I thank all who tried to help.

That "board" is the Beagle Bone Green. (it is the processor that holds the firmware)
Was it removed for some reason and reinstalled?

Yes the beagle board green was removed to be able to mount the Acorn board through the 4 holes underneath it and the 4 outside corner mounting holes to the PVC mounting plate with the appropriate nylon spacers, so that the board is resting suspended on the 0.250x 0.125 nylon spacers. Obviously I must have installed the beagle board and bent the pins on it. I straightened
the pins and it's up and running.

Just FYI, you only needed the 4 corner holes on Acorn to mount it.
I'm glad you were able to figure out what happened and on your way....
