Hi all

I have a Bridgeport series 1 cnc and a acorn board I am looking at getting new servo motors to complete the retrofit . clearpath were recommended
My problem is what size to use ?? . I the original steppers were nema 42s
I was looking around the only thing I found was 1392 oz-in seams big to me ??

Not too big. I would put 750W AC Servos on it.
No reason not to use Clearpath.

I used DMM's NEMA42 1.3kW servos on my mill. Very happy with them. In my case, they bolted up in all respects without modification.

Call the Teknic application support for them to recommend a frame size for your application. The Teknic guys are very helpful...IMO

I used Dyn4 750W motors. Once they were working they worked well. They had more more than enough power, would stall the spindle (2hp)

I'm using 750W Panasonics on my Interact 1 - apart from the Z which is a bit larger but that was due to available stock / longer shaft to make the mod work.
