I have an Acorn controller on my 3-axis knee mill. Up until know, I was using it with the stock variable speed spindle off 3 phase.
I installed a Hitachi WJ200 VFD and would like to set it up with the Acorn. I used the Wizard to add spindle FORWARD to Output 7 and REVERSE to Output 8, but neither change state with a M3S1000 or M4S1000 command in MDI.
When I look at the I/O with <Alt-I>, I can see the outputs and change their state by highlighting them and a <CTR-Alt-F>, but they don't work with an MDI command. They are also under-lined as in the attached photo. For reference, I also have a lube pump on Output 2 and it is also under-lined.
It's been a while since I've worked on the mill, so odds are good I'm doing something stupid.
Attached is a report and any help is appreciated.

Re: Problem setting up outputs for VFD spindle
The underline and red color means they are forced off. Press ctrl-alt-F until no underline remains.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
