HOMING ON START UP QUIT WORKING IN X AXIS

Hi All
Ok, just a recap, so this thread has an happy ending.
Ive learned that when you connect the tuning cable to the dmm drives, if you cant connect, wiggle the wires connections to the computer usb port, when i did this,the connection from DMM drive to computer worked. And i was able to use the software Problem 1 solved
Next, my X axis not homing was because when i tried to run tuning software and read from the drive somehow i went from step/direction mode to the RS232 mode , that caused the no motor movement issue's
Problem 2 solved
Thank you keith and marty for your imput and help, maybe one day you guys will make me a pro like yourselves!
