Post by rrush60826 »

Hi ,

I have ran system test. I had to load both files SysTest.cnc and SysTest.out I have ran a few times first 2 time ran a few lines and came up job complete no faults. Run it again came up missing parameter 1020 . I loaded the SysTest.out nothing opened in notepad. When I ran test nothing moved just sat at home. Thank you for your help rrush60826

rrush60826,

looks like your machine has been quarantined because of the Corona Virus

Seriously!. Open up the systest.cnc file and let us know from what line of code you expect a machine move that does not happen.

I've never run the system test on an Acorn. Its "required" on servo controls. It tests axis +/- limit switches, distance between the home switch and a marker pulse etc. Once it runs successfully, the Machine Setup Not Completed "nag" screen goes away

Interesting....I WOULD like to see the systest.out file (Which is the results of the test)

We never checked the System Test to be Acorn specific. Centroid staff is looking into its suitability for Acorn. Funny, that one has slipped by until you found the option and tried to run it! :D

I got the missing parameter 1020 every time the axis switch to marker test didn’t pass. It only showed the error message on screen the first time I think. I DID have clearly marked lines in the systest file saying why though.

That's because Acorn is OPEN loop and has no Encoder inputs and it can't see a marker pulse.

Don't pay much creedence to the System Test at this point, until Centroid decides what to do with it. It may come out completely for Acorn, it might get modified.

Crazy, I have run the system test on Servo many times, I never bothered to notice it was in Acorn CNC12 LOL....

Well, that would make perfect sense. I guess I forgot which subforum I was in.

At this point it appears the SYSTEST will be removed from Acorn's version of CNC12....
