CNC12 Lathe Error 913 Can't open gcode file <resolved>

Hello everyone.
New member to the forum, not a new Centroid user though. I have one milling machine that has been running the Centroid acorn controller for over a year and it has been a great experience so far. I recently converted a small Lighmachines cnc lathe to the Acorn controller. Everything moves and works as it should but when I try to load a program it always tells me Error 913 Can't open file. I am using HSMWorks for my cam software and the post processor I am using is a modified Fanuc one that I got from this forum that a member had posted a while back.
I have attached the program in this post. I would really appreciate any help out there.

What was the full text of the 913 error message? Did it include the name of the file it was trying to open, but could not?

If you were to post a Report, then we could see what the full path name of the currently-loaded job is; and we could see whether that file exists in the expected location; and we could see what value you have in Parameter 4, to determine how files loaded from external sources are handled.

Without the report, all I can tell you is that the attached .nc file does not contain any subprogram or macro calls, so your problem is probably not related to calling subprograms and macros.

If you save/move the .nc file to the Centroid nc folder and open it from there it will open. Opening it from a USB or other location brings up this error.

You are exactly right! Thank you!
I have no idea why that is. On my mill, I always open the NC files directly from my USB drive and I have never seen this error. Now I have to always copy my files from my usb drive to that folder. Quite annoying. At least it works now though. Thank you again.

Yep, going through that same issue myself. Why will my mill load and run from the flash drive? But, my lathe won't? Is there a fix for this?

Post a report please.....
(ALWAYS post a report when asking for assistance)

This should not be the case. With CNC12 and Windows 10, you should be able to load a file from a USB drive.

Here is a report and a file. Was working on finding a Post Processor that works with Solidworks using sample files. But, as long as I Copy paste to the NC folder the file could be opened. just not from the thumb drive.

this is a cnc12 lathe bug with a simple work around. with v4.20.1 lathe please copy the g code program from the USB drive to c:\cnct\ncfiles with windows 10 and then use cnc12 to F1 Load the program and then you are good to go and press cycle start to run it. in the next public beta release, (hopefully today) you will be able to load directly from the USB drive within cnc12 lathe without getting the 913 error.
