It is a bug in 4.20.1.
It is being worked on for the next release.
It was fixed...then got broke again so they tell me.

I'm On V4.5

It works now for Bore ID Front

It still doesn't work for ID Tread Front, I still have to subtract the Probe diameter from the measured .

Bumping the thread up, like the measured threading tool in to the job...

Please post a fresh report. I've asked Centroid to take a look, but they will likely want to see a report.

Of what I have tested and recorded on X measurements I've not double checked Z

ID Bore Front Vector 2 measures correctly

FFace Bore Front Vect 7 does not account for Touch off tool dia
FFace Bore Front Vect 2 does not account for Touch off tool dia
FF Bore Custom Vec 2 doesn't account for Touch off tool dia
ID Bore Front Vector 2 measures correctly
ID Bore Front Vector 7 Measures x in wrong direction
ID Thread Front vect 6 does not account for Touch off tool dia
ID Thread Front vect 7 does not account for Touch off tool dia ad Measures x in wrong direction

I do not have a suitable testbed, and have not had time to look at this myself, but Caleb's account above is disturbing.

The nose vector, and only the nose vector, should determine both the movement direction for measurement, and whether to compensate for the width of the touch-off device. The "Tool Orient" and "Tool Type" fields are just conveniences to aid the user in choosing the right vector, and perhaps hints for the runtime graphic display to show a suitable outline.

When measuring X offsets:
- Nose vectors 3, 4 and 8 touch off as OD tools (from the X+ side, moving in the X- direction)
- Nose vectors 1, 2 and 6 touch off as ID tools (from the X- side, moving in the X+ direction)
- Nose vectors 5 and 7 cannot have their X offsets automatically measured. The software should report an error and refuse to measure.

Similarly, when measuring Z offsets:
- Nose vectors 2, 3 and 7 touch off as front-side tools (from the Z+ side, moving in the Z- direction)
- Nose vectors 1, 4 and 5 touch off as back-side tools (from the Z- side, moving in the Z+ direction)
- Nose vectors 6 and 8 cannot have their Z offsets automatically measured. The software should report an error and refuse to measure.
