I have run limit switches on other machines but seemed to get the same result with the existing system.
I have since opened it all up and took some pic inside the fc controller.
Some is familiar.
Regarding the reuse. The best thing I could get away with would be putting the Acorn in or connected to the original box and its subsequent power supply, drives etc.
Might look at that route again.

I believe that small board on top might be the marker identifier.

Yes, I believe it is.
Your drives are made by LogoSol. Replace the FC with LS on 5ge drive model number and head to their website and download the manuals.
Remove the signal generator. Keep the cables that go from it to your drives. Download the manual for your drive box from Flashcut and nite the pin signals.

Their power supply is convoluted. Order another 80vdc supply from Antekinc.com

Just suggestions....

Marty, just out of curiousity, why change the power supply?

If you can figure it out, by all means reuse it. You will note it's connections to the signal generator...

Marty thanks for the tips on the Logosol drives.
I was able to download the manual for the LS182SE-1210.
That will help immensely ;-)

Yes they are good drives.
I think you have stepper motors on the carousel don't you? I see 5 drives in the box. I can't remember how Dave setup the tool changer.

Might as well reuse what you have if you can. They are decent little servos and drives. (Careful, those drives are expensive, best put a search on them on ebay) figure out how they extracted the Z index pulse
Go into the FC setup utility and take a look at all the I/O and print it all out.

Though the controller is a 5 axis, only 3 are being used.
Something just happened and a drive had faulted. I swapped a drive over but the speeds are not the same. I have looked over all of the settings, there is no differences there.
It is odd but I have settings or performance change on this controller computer before and that is when FC gave me a workaround but it wasnt the best solution imo.
That is when they said there was basically no support on that version.
I did swap the suspect servo to other drives with no loss of speed.
It seems to follow axis 2 from the signal generator maybe?
Fortunately Dave did mark a few things on his boards.
The turret is a 120vac motor.

I have been going thru each settings page and snipping them to a thumb drive.
All is fine except the ability to paste the macros. I can open them and select and copy but it wont allow me to paste them. I must have tried 20 times. Because the are longer than a screen it would take 2 snips per macro.
Do you know where I might find those files in FC? I looked around but nothing was obvious.

Remember there is a Setup file open it and see if there is useful info in it
