Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Hang in there. Remember we are all in tough times and trying to semi function. Can you post pictures of your installation?
Sorry, I don't have any experience with Clearpath and CNC4PC board. I know a couple uses tested it successfully. I was hoping they would chime in.

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
I needed to take a break. Arturo called me. He had a hectic day and I was in the car at the time. He sent me a video and I'm able to get it LOOKING like it should work, but the drives won't enable for whatever reason.... Arturo said he'd have time tomorrow if I don't get it figured out.

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Pescadoman, Arturo is probably your best bet figuring things out, but if you're still having issues I'd be happy to share pictures or videos of how I've got my board setup and working. Or we could talk over the phone.

Share them here so everyone can learn. Pictures, wiring sketch, video clip. Share wit one, one learns. Share with thousands, thousands learn. That's why I discourage people from contacting me directly. Besides, others can try and help too.

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Called Arturo again today. I guess he was busier than promised, as he never answered his phone. His mail box is full and I left SMS notifications to show I called. This is getting old... I called him on purpose twice and accidentally butt dialed him, it looks like, 3 other times.

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Your options are to wait for Arturo, or try and follow the Centroid schematic for the Clearpath servos....pescadoman wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 5:34 pm Called Arturo again today. Not sure what else to tell you...Arturo evetually comes through, probably not as fast as you would like....

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Pescadoman, If I am not mistaken I believe that Arturo is in the Florida County with a lot of Corona Virus. I am sure that deliveries etc. are running behind as I also live in Florida. Today the Governor issued a stay in place order that starts tomorrow, hopefully if he works from home maybe that will free up some of his time.
I am working on my mill now and have one of his cards, but may use a PLC to receive the HLFB from my ClearPath servos. If I find any issue/solutions I will let you know.
Chuck

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Here is a video from CNC4PC demonstrating how the C86ACCP works. https://youtu.be/Q6SGRSAuW_A
Arturo is also going to be posting another video soon (which is an edited version of a video I sent him) which also shows this board working and explains how I setup the jumpers.
Hope this helps.

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
I looked at that video numerous times. He absolutely promised he'd help me today, or I wouldn't be disappointed. Can you post YOUR video here or send it to me?

Re: Clearpath HLFB connection to relay
Here is a link to a Google photos album containing the videos I had sent to Arturo. I believe the first 3 videos are showing the problems I was having. Video 4, 5, and 6 are then me trying again after receiving my replacement board.
Video 6 is where I figured out the right jumper settings and finally got it working.
Apologies in advance for my not so eloquent speaking, but I hope it helps.
