I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. Its important for the gentleman to have on line support. He doesn't mind paying for software that will be reasonably easy to get the hang of, on line tutorials, maybe users forum. I know about Fusion. It's much for me let alone this fellow.

Vcarve pro is all I have ever used. If he watches the videos that they offer you can pick it up pretty quickly. The difference between vcarve pro and Aspire is vcarve pro is to design 2.5D and Aspire designs 3D. You can still purchase 3d files already made and use in vcarve you just can't create them.
