I recently have been working to convert a mini-mill for cnc use.
I'm about finished with the conversion but have noticed today that I can no longer use the WMPG-4 in the 10X or 100X modes.
If I shut-off the WMPG-4 I can use the VCP in these modes just fine.
Note: The WMPG-4 works fine in the 1X mode.
I believe it used to also work in 10x and 100x and am wondering if I've done something configuration-wise that has somehow disabled it.
I don't see any messages on the screen and have searched the internet a bit and haven't discovered anyone else with this issue.
Thanks for any help,
-Brian

Re: CNC12 Acorn Mill v4.20 WMPG-4 Fast Jog
you have a probe input tripped. MPG won't allow Fast Jog (x10 and x100) while probe input is active.
remove the probe input from the Acorn Inputs in the wizard, "write settings to cnc control" follow instructions. then try again.

Re: CNC12 Acorn Mill v4.20 WMPG-4 Fast Jog
Thank you! That was it exactly. After reviewing the instructions for configuring a probe it is mentioned there. I think I was assuming if the probe detect wasn't "on" then perhaps the probe-tripped input would be ignored.
I'll have to rig something up that allows me to unplug the probe without losing my fast jogging...
Thanks,
-Brian
