2 Axis Lathe, no Z axis jogging

Post by Silo7 »

On mobile so no pics or report file, just a quick question. If it can’t be answered I will upload files soon. New config, so far all is good with spindle, axis X working fine, Z axis not responding though. Shows in wizard, same settings as X. Saved config for Clearpath, seems all is good. Even when tying to activate drive, cnc12 shows speed setting but no movement. No faults, all green on IO indicators, same as X. Reviewing all wizard setting they seem fine, motors both are not in fault. I used H2 to connect both motors. Again, if a quick solution is there I would greatly appreciate, otherwise I will create the file and upload.

Thank you.

If CNC12 is showing "movement" on the DRO for Z, then it thinks everything is working and it is outputing pulses to the drive so the problem exists at the drive or motor.
Cheers,

Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

I didn’t want to think that but looks like a firm possibility. Thank you Tom.
