I hadn't sorted out how to mount it, I did not want to bring 115v into my control box for the wall wart. I have a larger meanwell than the stock Acorn unit that Gary provided in the control box, I am hoping I could power the Eth1616 and the ethernet switch from it as well, and not have another power supply?

Gerald..
I can confirm that the LAN switch works fine when powered by the 5 volt rail of the MW power supply. Ditch the wall wart!

Here's my little motion controller sub-panel. Power supplies and switch mounted on the back, Ether1616 and Acorn on the front.
Cheers,
Tom
