It now homes to the right and all setting are functioning per your guidance and direction.

I still cannot get the intercon to do run time graphics even though it is turned on.

Tested the intercon to do a straight turn from diameter stock of 1.25 to .75.

Will only run to line 23 and it sits right there. No run time like in the videos!

Haven't figured out the why yet!

I apologize for not posting a response sooner as I'm a disabled Vet and

I Have really bad days where I do not do much! Again, I'm sorry!
Thank you very much for your service. :!: :!: No problem about so long getting back. We understand that we all have other things to do also and may not be able to check things out, make changes and then get back right away.

Intercon will not show Run Time Graphics. It will graph the program and give you any error messages if there is any error in the Intercon cycles. Run Time Graphics only displays when you press Cycle Start to run the program from the Main Screen. Are you running the program when you say it just sits there at line 23? What are the messages that are displayed in the message box?

PLEASE SEND a current Report and the Intercon program you have written.
Dana

Thanks for the response it is greatly appreciated.

I have attached the required report and intercom file per your request.

It gives no error message on line 23 just stays frozen.

Lathe moves to start position and freezes there.

hello. do you have an encoder install and running on the spindle?
line 23 is using a G99 which locks the movement to the spindle encoder, if the encoder is not moving then the axes will not move.

use G98 if you don't have an encoder on the spindle.

Wood lathes can have encoders too ya know..

ok....Use Feed per minute (G98) and not Feed per rev. easy peasy.
G codes explained page 186 https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... -v4.14.pdf

and Intercon explained starting on page 78

In Intercon....

"F/R" beside Feedrate value means Feed per Revolution (uses encoder)

"F/M" beside the Feedrate value means Feed per Minute (does not encoder)

simply press F1 to toggle between the two feed modes (per rev or per minute).

I have added the G98 Code and I receive the same response.

I have attached a fresh report and file.

Still stops at the very start of the cut.

Thanks!

Code: Select all

  G0 X1.28 Z-0.5 T0101
  X1.85 Z-0.55
  G1 X1.85 Z-0.525 G98 F0.006
0.025" at 0.006 in/min will take a little over four minutes to complete. Perhaps you want to use a little faster feedrate.
