Homing the machine

Post by beebee »

At the moment finally got all limits working. All axes are moving and as a added
bonus they are moving in the correct direction.
Let me first say I did a searches. How do you command the software to home all axes.
Sorry for the stupid question.
Thanks to all that helped with my previous issues.

On a lathe or mill, maybe. On a router, not usually.

On the homing page, and once "Home to Switches" is enabled, select "M91-" or "M92+" to set proper direction for your machine and switch setup

You can home the machine however you like. Its up to you. Its a reference point for the control.
You can change that by making sure the home switch is in the proper position and changing it as Gary mentioned. The Homing screen in the Wizard is for setting that up.

Let us know if you are OK or you need further help.

Ball screw 5/8 .25 lead.
Z axis 3 to 1
X axis 2.5 to 1
Y axis direct drive.

US Digital Encoder. E2-250-250 EG. It is 250 line count, which will provide 1000 pulses per revolution using x4 quadrature counting.
Update 1/8/2020

Gecko 320 x driver. Update 1/8/2020. Step Pulse Frequency is 0 to 300 kHz

DC brushed Servo. Max operating speed 4800
Continuous torque OZ-IN 170
Peak torque 850
Terminal voltage max 90VDC. I’m supplying the motors with 72 VDC
steps / revolution all three are set to 1000
turns are ...x 10...y4.....z....12

Here are Max Ouput Settings of 100,000.....200,000....400,000
Which should I be using.
