Bottom, line, since the PC is a Laptop not meeting Centroid Minimum system requirements, I would change it to a PC meeting System requirements and strongly recommend against using a laptop at all.
If money is an issue, look on ebay, search Lenovo Tiny M92P, include Windows 10 in the search. You'll find a bargain. Note, if you buy one of these PC's make sure the BIOS is updated, as well as getting the lastest drivers. Trivial when using Lenovo's System Update Utility.

Re: Acorn CNC 12 Version 4.20 not communicating
I just installed it on a Microsoft surface pro3 laptop and it work.
Well I can’t use this laptop out in the shop because I don’t on it.
Conclusion: The laptop that I have now I can run version 4.18 but not version 4.20 because this laptop is not at the Minimum specification for CNC 12.
Thank you for all for the response that I got from you.
You all helped solve the problem.

Re: Acorn CNC 12 Version 4.20 not communicating
please use a CNC PC that can run CNC12 v4.5 so you gain the advantages of all the effort we have put into Acorn CNC12 in the last two years.
and be advised, free support for versions older than v4.5 has ended.
