davismark5255,

the error messages might not show up on the screen but they will be in the Windows Event log.

If you are running the Lathe version, look for errors of cnct.exe in the Application log.

Send a current report from 4.18

IF you still have 4.20 installed, it should/may have created a report file automatically. Look in
C:\CNCM\Reportbackup

If lathe
C:\CNCT\Reportbackup

If its there upload it.
Reminder, for support please follow this post: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=383

Don't think this is the problem here but the CPU of your laptop has a single thread PassMark of 679 which is not even half of the required 1'500 as specified by Centroid.

You should really think about getting a new, more appropriate PC for your installation that fulfills the minimum required specifications.

Run a disk check on your C drive. The error message is saying that cnct.exe is corrupt.
Cheers,

Tom

Can you post the cnct.exe file here so we can try to run the same file on our machine?

Just rename it to cnct.txt

Well this executable works perfectly fine on my computer so it's definitely not corrupted.

My guess is that cnct.exe tries to open a file or maybe a Visual C++ redistributable library that does not exist on your Windows Installation.
