Very clever stuff sir, kudos to you! What sort of aircraft work do you do?

Re: Linz lathe with Clearpath and Acorn
Thanks, my pleasure.
I'm working on what's called an experimental aircraft in the US, here in France limited to 100hp and 2 seats - 450kg max takeoff weight.
Just gave CSS and threading a try. I have a Heidenhain ERN1070 3600 lines encoder bought for $100, found out in the process of wiring that it has an integrated 10x interpolation, so that's 144,000 pulses per rev in Acorn setup ! It works fine anyway.

Hey,
One more to share my success with the encoder and a first threading try.

Nicely done.
Can you post a brief written overview and post your video links to the Success Stories forum?

Re: Linz lathe with Clearpath and Acorn
Hi Marty,
Sure, will do.
My mill is under Mach 3 / G540. I'm getting a bigger mill next month, which is due for Acorn.
