Currently using a steel cabinet (IT Patch Cab) with components laid out horizontally - Mains power transformers on top shelf and low voltage components below with all control wiring fully shielded. Zero interference problems
Now need to add a 4th axis requiring a larger cabinet and have a new Polyester din-rail cabinet available (Schneider Thalassa) of suitable size and allowing vertical layout.
Are there any additional shielding requirements when using not using a metal cabinet?
Many thanks

Re: Cabinet Construction
My test bench setup is open-air with no metal cabinet to provide shielding. Everything is mounted to a piece of 0.25 inch thick piece of plexglass. The wires/circuits are oriented per your post with attention paid to proper grounding. I've had no problem with electrical interference.
