I was wondering how to program one of my macro key on the MPG to do a SINGLE BLOCK function.
Not sure if It requires PLC programming. Any example would be totally appreciate.
Thanks

Read the instructions in the pop up in Cnc12 when you push the macro button on the mpg. It's really easy to do, you just push the macro button you want to use and follow instructions on the screen and in the macro file. Also you don't need to do anything with the plc mapping, it's already done just insert what you want to do in the space provided in the macro file.

Re: WMPG-4 Wireless MPG w/ Acorn
Can you show me an example of entering a single block command to one of the macro keys?

Have you looked at the macro that's linked to the MPG macro button you want to use?davismark5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:06 pm Can you show me an example of entering a single block command to one of the macro keys?

Yes ... but it can’t take the command of Ctrl B to turn on single block

What exactly are you trying to get the macro to do?davismark5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:27 pm Yes ... but it can’t take the command of Ctrl B to turn on single block

I thought it would be a good idea to be able to press one of my macro keys while I’m at the machine to start single block to verify that the tool doesn’t hit the part when feeding down.Dan M wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:32 pmWhat exactly are you trying to get the macro to do?davismark5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:27 pm Yes ... but it can’t take the command of Ctrl B to turn on single block

Re: WMPG-4 Wireless MPG w/ Acorn
So you're trying to remap the single block VCP button to the MPG? If so you would need someone with more experience to chime in on this. I don't know if it's as simple as changing the parameters of the MPG button to match the single block VCP parameters. I honestly don't know if it's possible.davismark5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:48 pmI thought it would be a good idea to be able to press one of my macro keys while I’m at the machine to start single block to verify that the tool doesn’t hit the part when feeding down.Dan M wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:32 pmWhat exactly are you trying to get the macro to do?davismark5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:27 pm Yes ... but it can’t take the command of Ctrl B to turn on single block

I'm sure someone more experienced than me will chime in and answer your question. I thought you were just trying to execute some gcode, sorry for not understanding what you were talking about.

Re: WMPG-4 Wireless MPG w/ Acorn
single block can not be selected once a g code program is started.
I would insert "optional stops" or 'stop and wait for operator" (to press cycle start to continue) as an alternative methods to do what you describe.
