Vectric Post Processor

Post by Tlempicke »

I use Aspire and I see that in the post processor list they only have two for Centroid. One for Inch and one for metric. Is there a post processor for a rotary axis? If not what is the best way to go about generating one? Perhaps use the shopbot post, which is G code, and try to modify it?

I would look at one of the Mach3 wrap X or Y posts (possibly Legacy 4 axis too) and modify to suit. The Shopbot one is not G-code and will take a lot more conversion to get to clean G-code.

Check out the vetric Post Processor Guide PDF. With Vetric open go to file then open application data folder.

Your going to need to add it to the Centroid PP unless someone else already has and wants to share it. The PDF goes over how to do it and lists examples of existing PP that already have it like sword said. Then you're just going to have to add it to Centroid PP and test it out till you get it working properly.

Tom...
Its your lucky day. I just remembered that there was a copy posted on the Vectric Beta forum from when we tested these last year.

YW Tom...
Just make sure that have your axes clarified as ShopBot does everything backwards. You may need an "X to -A" version.
