I meant that is what we do just because it is simple. Not because it is ideal. It would be nice to have a simple control in the VCP to adjust this parameter.
Once smoothing has been set to your requirement (after testing etc), you don't need to adjust anything for multiple jobs assuming they require the same settings - Smoothing is set using SETUP > SMOOTHING SETUP. You can also set multiple smoothing setups for different jobs using the presets if required

hope this helps

we have the facility to simply call out any custom smoothing profiles via G code: G64

you can save your favorite smoothing settings as a profile and name it then simply call it out in the G code program.

G64 "myfavoritesmoothingprofile"

G64 "smoothingfor3dart"

G64 "smoothingforplasma"

etc..etc.. see the CNC12 operator manual for details. page 221 and 331

Another vote for not forcing a home. I do not home my current set up and like it that way.

I'm assuming you have gone back through the original wishlist posts multiple times? viewtopic.php?p=25935#p25935

Keith do you have a quick list of what all you have built in right now? What codes and parameters are available?

I see:
profile database (thank you!)
voltage override

Thanks,
Mike

we don't force auto home on any machine,
if you have "simple home" selected in the setup wizard, "homing" simply sets the machine coordinate system at the current location with one button press.
not homing defeats travel limits which defeats overtravel protection and defeats graphing letting you know if the part is going to FIT therefore saving Material from being ruined... personally i home a plasma machine so CNC12 will let me know if my part is going to fit in the machine envelope BEOFRE pressing cycle start. I find this useful saving me time and money.

I have a millright mega v plasma that has a garbage Cnc controller! I built a Bridgeport series one Cnc with the acorn and cnc12 pro (I believe it’s cnc12) and it just works! I want to add a acorn to the millright but have been waiting for the plasma version to come out!
Question 1. If I buy the centroid acorn will it work with the plasma version coming out?
Question 2. The millright mega v has 2 motors on the y axis I believe the acorn will accommodate auto squaring?
Thanks for all you do!
