I corresponded with my contact at DMM about the DB25 cable (Acorn to DYN4) issue some seemed to be having. Here is what they found:
"Hey Marty, we were able to solve this,
The resistor we used in the DYN4 to Acorn cable was a little too big and limited the current too much. It should still work, but the current was too close to the minimum limit of the step/direction signals so we have decided to change the cable design a bit to remedy this and will be resolved.
The DB25 cable we provide is shielded and is connected to the shell. But this was not the cause."
I have asked what value resistor they updated it to. Will report back.
Marty
