Finding a mill that has a readily accessible mounting location for an encoder is not easy! That is one of the reason I chose the Grizzly 0678 over some of the "better" mills on the market.
Here is how I mounted the encoder:

Thanks for the photos. My milling machine should be delivered in the next couple of hours.
I may be able to attach a timing pulley to the top of drive pulley. It will require a large pulley so I can bore a hole that will allow for the drawbar and mounting screws to attach the encoder pulley to the drive pulleys.
