Acorn not working

Post by benscale160 »

While I was in the middle of using my machine today, I got a network not connected error on the cnc 12 software. Upon further investigation, I found the heartbeat light not to be flashing. However the other solid blue power light was on solid.

I exited cnc 12 then powered down and powered up my control box which power up acorn. Still no heart beat. I attempted to cycle power several times with no success.

My next though is maybe the beagle bone is bricked. I dunno how or why.

I followed Marty's video instructions to reflash the unit. When I plugged in the usb cord while holding down the user button, nothing happened. No leds no nothing.

Has this beagle given up the ghost?

Anyone know centriods policy on this?

Appreciate any help.

hello.
several options..

you can but a new BBG online and flash it with centroid firmware, install it and request a new license file (if you are using pro or dig)
or
you can start a warranty claim with centroid, instructions are here.

Ok. Got a new bbg from Amazon. I followed the instructions on Marty's video. All that happens when pressing the user button when powering up with the micro usb plug is the blue power light comes on. No 4 blue lights. Did I miss something with a fresh board. I'm a machinist with a little knowledge of electronics. I make chips, not trouble shoot high tech electronics.

Any help is appreciated.

My machine is FUBAR. Some tool paths are fine and some are totally random. Nothing seems to be running correctly, not even the included sample parts. Random moves, omitted areas and ending before the job is finished. Maybe someone had this problem and can help because my machine is unusable right now. I am including a fresh report file as of this morning. Thanks

Jonnytoro,
Please start a new thread I don't think your issue has anything to do with debricking please provide detailed information on your drive type wiring schematic used etc
