I'm trying to dial in my Centroid setup a little more on the ShopBot and I'm having a little trouble when the tool goes from a straight line to an arc, and then back again. check out this video:

On the part closest to us you can see a large sweeping arc (it's truly an arc too, not a bunch of tiny line segments)
The tool ramps down in speed somewhat as it's heading to the beginning of the arc, and then ramps back up in the arc, ramps down when it gets to the end of the arc, and then back up again for the straight line.
On big sweepers like this I'm doing a lot of unneeded ramping. Is there a way to tune this out? I have fooled around with the sliders in the "smoothing" setup and I haven't been able to dial it out. Is there some other "under the hood" setting I should be looking at?

you can setup different smoothing profiles for different types of g codes.

Re: Advanced Motor tuning?
Eric: I set mine to the defaults for Precision Router and I am quite happy with the way the machine handles. Gary may have done other tweaks too, I'm not sure. I'll be interested in seeing what works best for you.
