I purchased a simple mechanical probe. I think it’s NC until the probe is tripped, then it opens. On the probe body are 4 adjustment screws to adjust for concentricity. Can anyone tell me the procedure/process to adjust the probe? Is there any automated type process in CNC12 to do this?
Thanks!

Re: Probe setup questions
NO Magical way of setting concentricity on a probe.
Suggestion, is that you find a dedicated holder, chuck it up and leave it in there.
Put it in your machine and put a dial test indicator on it, rotate it and set its concentricity to the spindle.
Here is a video to give you an idea:

Re: Probe setup questions
Using a test indicator, assuming it doesn’t deflect the probe tip, will only show that the tip is concentric in a static condition. I would imagine that the static vs tripped tip position could very well be different? Seems like some sort of calibration process where the probe is actually tripped, position measured, probe rotated, repeat, etc would be needed? Or am I missing something?
