DMM AC servos 3 phase?

Post by lilb93 »

Got 3 DMM servos in a while back, never took them out of the package till yesterday. On the label they say 200 V 10.7 amps three phase. Are there servos all three phase. Cannot get an answer from DMM there really slow responding to e-mails and they dont have a USA number to call them.

YES, they are typical AC servo motors. You did buy their DYN2 or DYN4 drives and cable sets with them didn't you? They work together.

What is your concern?

I got the DYN4 and 1.5 kw drives, Thought I could convert the whole thing to single phase. Guess not.

You are misinterpreting Marty's answer. The motors are 3 phase servos. They accept single phase input. Look on the spec sheet for the drive input voltage and amps. You are good to go with a 1phase system

Read the manual, they take 120-240vac single phase input. The 3phase AC sevo motor connects to the DYN4 drive.
Are you saying you thought you could convert it to 120vac or?

Sorry to say I did not read any manuals yet. I do have three phase here, but wanted to make it single phase 220V. If I ever sell it it would make it open to a lot more people. Mike from DMM did get back to me and yes I can run it at 220V single phase. Sorry for the confusion. But then I am always confused.
Ordered a Omron Encoder E6B2-CWZ1X I think that will work.
