I was getting ready to switch both of my Acorn systems' driver step & direction connections from the H1/H2/H3 connectors over to the DB25 connector this weekend. Both systems have separate 5vdc power supplies to power their Leadshine DM542 drivers. From all that I've been reading on the forum, that seems to be the recommended & most trouble-free way to do it.
BUT, I read one of Marty's posts recently that mentioned one should connect them to the H1/H2/H3 (24v) connectors. They are both working that way now since it's shown that way in the schematics. Am I just making extra work for myself or is there an advantage to going the DB25 route?
